Website design that works!

A butterfly is beautiful by design. Shouldn't your website be too?

If what you're looking for is an appealing, functional website that meets the growing needs of your business, then you don't need to look any further. We can help you to

  • Promote your business
  • Sell online
  • Enhance your business presence
  • Control information flow and procedures
  • Have better interaction with your customers

There is a big difference between a flashy website designed for maximum visual effect only – or ‘eye candy' as some call it - and a nicely designed, appealing and informative website.

Studies show that even month old babies are more attracted to a beautiful face. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but we all know beauty when we see it.

Make sure that your website works for your business.
A website that works must have the following characteristics: otherwise it is nothing more than an oversized electronic business card

  • It must be appealing and professionally designed. Mare sure that the first impression a potential customer gets from you is a positive one
  • It must allow for better communication channels between you and your customers or prospects. Your contact information shouldn't be more than a click away
  • It must give visitors a good reason to return to your site. Here, content is king
    1. Do not make a sales pitch in every paragraph
    2. Do not brag about yourself and your company all over the place. You think you're good? Prove it! Do this by providing insightful information, that is both current and accurate
    3. Make sure that your visitors feel that they didn't waste their time by reading your material. Avoid filler or meaningless material. Document your facts, Do your research
    4. Link to appropriate websites that enrich and complement your site. After all, nobody really thinks that you know everything there is to know about your industry!
    5. Entice your readers to stay and keep perusing your content. Long uninterrupted paragraphs put-off many visitors. Instead break such items into shorter paragraphs. Use boldface to introduce important sections of the page. When you're listing more than three items in a row, try putting them within a list instead of a regular paragraph
    6. For your website not to grow old and stale, new content must be added on a continuous basis. It is recommended to write a new article at least once a week. This will give you 52 new articles and/or pages in a year!
    7. Avoid being repetitive. If you lack the time or initiative to write new material, find someone in your organization who is able and willing to do so. Hire a professional copy writer if you must. But do not let your site get outdated
    8. Make sure to check for spelling and grammar errors.

Do follow-up, keep in mind that very frequently no follow-up means no business!
Email or feedback coming from your site should be monitored on a daily basis, once a day; mornings or evenings should be fine. Let your visitors to expect a 24 hour delay to get a response. State that faster service is available by phone, should that be the case.

Are you getting requests for free assistance from some visitors and such requests simply are not within the scope of your business plan? Make sure to state so in your site and do not reply at all.

Do not put off doing unpleasant tasks, whether they have to do with your website or other aspect of your business. Start each morning by 'eating a frog'. Doing unpleasant tasks such as firing a lazy employee or collecting a past due invoice from an annoyed customer must be done some time, but the longer you avoid doing them, the more troublesome things tend to get.

We hope that you found this article informative. Keep posted! We have three new articles coming soon: the first one is on how to list your website on major search engines, the second one will deal with making your site 'Search engine friendly', and the last one will be give you detailed ideas on how to develop content for a new website.
